Mizan Adl methodology and limitations

How Mizan Adl uses retrieved legal sources and individual workspaces, where verification is limited, and why outputs need human review.

An individual workspace

Mizan Adl supports personal legal research, drafting and contract review. Your cases, files, drafts and conversations belong to your user account; this is not a shared organizational workspace. Upload only information you have the right to disclose.

Sources before conclusions

The legal workflow retrieves records from the public legal corpus to ground answers. The model is not the source of truth. A generated citation must be checked against its document: confirm the text, jurisdiction, version and relevant dates. A link or verification status is not a guarantee that the interpretation is correct.

A limited corpus and incomplete context

The corpus is limited, not an exhaustive or guaranteed current collection of UAE law. A missing result does not mean that no relevant rule exists. When sources are insufficient, do not infer a legal conclusion. Keep assumptions, missing facts and unresolved source checks visible, and obtain the source or professional review needed to resolve them.

Legal sources and your files have different roles

The public legal corpus is separate from user-uploaded files. Your contract, correspondence or case document can supply facts and context, but uploading it does not make it verified legal authority. User-owned records are scoped to the account; document context must not be mistaken for public law.

Extraction and generation providers

For PDFs, native text extraction is attempted first. If the text layer is missing or low-confidence, Mistral OCR is used for public-corpus and private uploads. Check extracted numbers, tables and names against the original. Prompts and retrieved sources are sent for generation according to the active LLM provider configuration. Consult the Privacy Policy and OCR Disclosure before submitting sensitive material.

Voice input becomes editable text

Q&A and memo voice inputs are transcribed after recording stops, not while you speak. Q&A recordings are sent to Mistral and memo recordings to OpenAI to return editable text. Review the transcript before submitting it. The app does not persist audio recordings. Vendor retention and training policies are separate and depend on applicable provider terms and account settings.

Human review before reliance

An answer, red flag or memo is AI-assisted output, not legal advice or a lawyer-reviewed deliverable. Check the facts and citations and ask a qualified UAE lawyer to review important outputs before relying on them, signing a contract or filing a document. Automated verification does not replace that review.
